Yuri Lowell left again.

[And after Zack's words, she had spirited right home to check, and, yes, significant pieces of furniture were gone, just dust and ghostly spaces left. She doesn't stay long, though. Even if the physical presence is gone, she still doesn't feel like staying in one building and moping about the events.]

And, oh, he didn't say anything. Not that I can recall.  

[There's a bloody kind of look in her eyes, as she walks into the battle dome. These things here weren't real, they didn't scratch the itch right, but they were good enough to smash and crack and cut into oblivion tonight.]

This isn't the first time. It's quite funny, too; nothing really changed in this place.

[And Judith destroys each holographic enemy until the muscles in her legs are too weak to keep her up.]

{a few days after this happens}

[Wandering around Luceti hasn't helped. Training in the woods, in town with others, in the battle dome with illusionary monsters, hasn't gotten her mind off it. Sleepless nights and exploration therein have only had her circling the issue even more, musing unhelpfully. It's not in her nature to stay this concerned but...Judith does not know where to go from here.]

[A partner and a child...but no memory of either.]

[A situation that those here knew about but kept quiet, tip-toeing around her - but it hadn't been their place to tell the story, had it? A house and guild mate who had once shared a bed with her, but an old friend, a traveling companion....waking up here, being stuck here, away from Ba'ul, not knowing what's going on with the world in chaos from the Adaphagos, aer running wild -]

[If she were a different woman, she would scream and cry and break things until all the stress is out of her and she could sleep again. And she even wants to do that, on some level. But instead, Judith just keeps to herself and tries to burn the stress away with walking and fighting.]

I understand that I was here in Luceti about a year ago. If anybody who knew me then would be willing to, I would like to know a little more about my time here.

[It's difficult to put into words but...]

[And with that she closes the book. At some point, she needs to speak to Yuri again, but now it's her turn to be at a loss for words.]

[This place is unbelievably boring.]

[It's been a long time since she's been in one place for so long; since she was a child on Mount Temza, probably. Most of her time since arriving has been spent either walking around, both at day and night (insomnia and all), or locked in the battle arena. Because when she starts thinking about travel, she's also thinking about Ba'ul. How he isn't here with her, how long it's been since they've been apart this long, how lonely he must be back on Terca Lumires, with all it's wide mountain ranges and infinite sky to fly through...]

[Try as she might, fighting these holograms isn't just going it for her. There's no bite to them when you know they're illusions.]

[Upon leaving in early evening, nevertheless sweaty and full of adrenaline, she scribbles the message in her journal:]

Is there anybody who would be interesting in a sparring partner?

[Because hopefully flesh-and-blood will help her forget, paradoxically, both her homesickness and wanderlust.]

[There's a woman asleep, quite soundly, in a bed in the house. This may or may not be usual or not, but the bed belongs to a man named Yuri Lowell and the sleeping woman thinks he might be dead and that they both are in Terca Lumires.]

[She turns in sleep, freeing pinned wings and knocking her journal to the floor.]

[The tone is pleasant, pace even, absolutely no indication given that she's been here for only a few hours.]

Has anybody found a spear recently? I've lost mine, and I'd quite like it to be returned to me.

[Judith has some frustration to kill with it.]
